Introduction 

The Level 1 Certificate in Food Preparation and Cooking is designed for candidates who want to begin a career within the hospitality industry, specialising in kitchen operations. Hospitality Training Group successfully delivers this qualification in partnership with different hotels and restaurants for in depth hospitality practical training.

The qualification cover:

The qualification covers an introduction to the hospitality industry, elements of health, safety and nutrition and the preparation, cooking and finishing of dishes using a range of different cookery methods

Opportunities for progression

On completion of this qualification candidates may progress into employment as a trainee chef, or to the following City & Guilds qualifications:
